We invite our audience to stay after the show to try out playing gamelan instruments and meet the musicians and puppet master. Everybody is welcomed to learn. Just be prepared to take off your shoes and don't step over the instruments.
Gamelan Concert: Fall 2017
On December 3th, 2017, the Emory Gamelan Ensemble performed its Fall Concert, Kidung Jaman Edan (Songs of a Crazy Time). It featured Javanese gamelan and Balinese Bela Ganjur. We were happy to have a full house and warm audience, who gave us a standing ovation and fully immersed in our play-and-learn session, trying out instruments after the show.
